Studios and projects

A project is a game or game mode you build: it has its own page with a title, tagline, genre, development stage, a gallery, links, linked servers and marketplace items. A studio is a team that owns projects together.

You can create projects on your own or inside a studio. Start alone; you can found a studio when other people join.

Field Values
Slug The address of the page, for example neon-racers. Lowercase letters, digits and hyphens. Cannot be changed.
Title, tagline, description Free text shown on the project page.
Genre roleplay, racing, shooter, survival, parkour, sandbox, minigames, simulation or other.
Status The development stage: concept, development, alpha, beta or released.
Tags Up to 10 short tags, for example drift or zombies.
Languages Up to 10 languages of the game, as ISO 639-1 codes like en or de.
Links Your website, plus a Discord invite, YouTube channel, X, Twitch, TikTok or Steam store page.

What a project page shows:

  • Gallery: up to 20 screenshots and YouTube videos, in the order you choose. Screenshots lose all metadata when you upload them.
  • Servers you link to it, with live player counts. See Register a server.
  • Marketplace items you link to it, for example the vehicles or scripts the game uses.
  • Favorites and views: players can add the project to their favorites; views are counted once per visitor and day.

A new project is a draft: only your team sees it. Publish it in the portal under Manage or with published: true. To publish, the project needs a tagline and an about text with at least 100 characters. The checklist in Manage also suggests key art, three screenshots or videos, tags, languages and links. You can turn a published project back into a draft at any time.

The team (owner, or all members of the studio) sees views and new favorites per day in Manage.

You can create up to 20 projects of your own.

A studio has members with one of three roles:

Role Can
Owner Everything, including deleting the studio and making members admins. There is exactly one owner.
Admin Edit the studio and its projects, invite and remove members.
Member Appear on the studio page and link their servers and items to studio projects.

Limits: up to 5 studios you found, 50 members per studio, 25 open invitations, 50 projects per studio. Invitations expire if they are not accepted.

An assistant with an access token can create and edit projects for you (create_project, update_project). It cannot delete projects or studios, change members or accept invitations. See MCP tools.
