Terms and legal texts

GAMPEON’s legal texts are on gampeon.com/legal. English is the main version, a German version sits next to each text. This page sums up what matters most when you build on GAMPEON. If this summary and a legal text differ, the legal text applies.

Your content stays yours

You keep the rights you own in your work. By publishing, you give GAMPEON a limited license to host, process, stream, show and promote your content inside GAMPEON. GAMPEON does not train generative AI models on your content without separate permission. Other players only get the rights they need to play; they may not extract, reupload or resell your assets.

Three levels of responsibility

• Uploader: the person who uploads an item is responsible for having all rights to it: models, textures, sounds, music, logos, scripts. See Third-party assets and Allowed content.
• Project owner: responsible for their own content and rules. Content that players upload into your game does not automatically become yours, but when you get a specific report about content you control, you must help remove or restrict it.
• GAMPEON: hosts content and runs the notice-and-action process. Forwarding a report to you does not end GAMPEON’s own duties.

Business creators (companies, or anyone publishing commercially) must indemnify GAMPEON for claims they caused by publishing infringing content. Players and minors acting as consumers do not.

Age rules

• GAMPEON is for people aged 13 and older.
• Under 16: stricter privacy defaults (friend requests, lists, suggestions).
• Jobs: applying from 16 (unpaid roles only), posting jobs and paid roles from 18.
• Buying GAMPEONS and payouts: 18 and older.

GAMPEONS in short

GAMPEON is the seller of every item offered for GAMPEONS. Creators license their items to GAMPEON and receive a license fee as earned GAMPEONS. Only earned GAMPEONS can be paid out; GAMPEONS bought with money never can, and GAMPEONS cannot be transferred between users. None of this is live yet: payments run in test mode only.

Building on the API

• Your own sign-up flow must show the Terms of Use and the Community Guidelines and send acceptTerms with the version from GET /v1/legal/terms. See Create an account.
• Access tokens can never accept terms for a person (POST /v1/me/terms needs a portal session).
• If your game or tool collects player data for your own purposes, you are responsible for your own privacy notice. GAMPEON’s Privacy Policy does not cover it.
